This single estate Bacchus is floral with notes of elderflower on the nose. It’s crisp on the palate with hints of gooseberry and lime. This wine pairs beautifully with chicken or seafood.
Bacchus is increasingly grown in England. The cooler climate in England means the grapes retain a higher acidity. Bacchus is sometimes called the ‘Sauvignon Blanc of the UK’.
Shotley Vineyard has over three thousand Bacchus vines which were planted in 1997, 1998 and 2003.
