The Shotley Vineyard tasting barn was part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Shotley Vineyard has emerged to support local amenities and provide events and services to surrounding villages.
The development and construction of a tasting barn was initiated to promote sales of Shotley Vineyard Wines, creating new employment opportunities in the village and rural tourism through vineyard tours, wine tastings and cultural events.
The barn will also play an integral part in delivering overnight glamping accommodation and amenities.
The site is within walking distance of the local foot ferry and marina, visitors using the ferry and marina can take a small walk via the sea wall to enjoy our facilities.
